The Year of New Beginnings

In January of this year, our preacher spoke about "Great Expectations" for the year ahead and told us to make a habit of "out with the old, in with the new!"
What a year of new beginnings it has been!

I thank God so much that he blessed David with the job he has now. Working for the T-Mobile warehouse has given him the hours he wanted, weekends off, pay that can support both of us, and insurance! God rewarded our faith in his plan, and it couldn't have come at a better time!

One week ago today, after a hard conference with my two bosses, I made the decision it was time to leave my job. After my paychecks bouncing, and being told that "Sometimes I have to put my job before my church, before my marriage, and before my family" that was all I needed to hear to easily make the decision that this job was no longer right for me. God gave me peace about leaving this position despite not having another job to go right into.

I was not raised to EVER put my job before church, marriage, or family! It just does NOT work that way. Clearly, my bosses who have both suffered divorces (or two) were not making the decision that God wants us to make.

So, my last day here is the 17th. I eagerly await the new things that God has in store for me. I just want to jump up and down in excitement for his blessings!

In the mean time, I will be able to enjoy being a stay-at-home wife until God puts me elsewhere. We are stepping out on faith. Our God is awesome!
